HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may it bring you happiness, health and wealth.
You should see what I got..........
Hubby said I could get one when we were looking at them today. We went to Officeworks to get ink for the printer and I was just looking at one of these. He said you can get it, cos I didn't get you much for Christmas.

They were on special for $58. I have had a little play with it, but having used it for a page yet.I'm scrapping tonight at Scrap Therapy's NYE Speed Scrapping being hosted by Cate. It looks like fun. So I may get to use it tonight!!
(We aren't doing anything for NYE. We have 3 children, one is 5 months old, so a good nights sleep I *might* get, but just being home and not having to struggle with all the kids and transport and it's not the warmest of nights either. I am happy to do that. I'm not really one to go out for NYE. I haven't done that since 1999, just before my DS was born. I am very much a homebody now and I don't mind.)

So what is everyone else up to?

Have a fun, safe night whatever you all do. I would love to hear about it.

Happy New Year!!!

I got another one done!!!
Again using the gorgeous Webster's Pages paper.
Have I said how much I love this stuff!!! (lol)
This one I have 3D the flowers.
The journalling says:
The love you two have for each other is beautiful. All the kisses and cuddles, I know won't last long when she starts annoying her big brother. So I will cherish it and takes heaps of photos of these special moments of you two together.

Some Layouts....

Here are some layouts I got to do yesterday using my Webster's Pages paper. I love this stuff.

This one is titled 'Little Princess'

And this one is '1973'

Their papers are just gorgeous. Sometimes too pretty to cut up!! But I succumbed to it and did it. Not so much on the second one as I don't think it needed it.

Hopefully I can get back out to do some more scrapping today. Fingers crossed!!

Till next time..........

Now Just Waiting For Christmas Day.........

Can you believe it!!!
I've finished all the Christmas present shopping! And all the Christmas presents I am making are almost done. I've done 3 out of 5.

And I haven't touched a layout for so long!! Well touched the papers I have gone crazy buying to scrap with. But I haven't had time. I can't wait to do a page that I have planned and is floating around in my already overflowing brain!!

All the kids presents were all picked up and wrapped last week with one little one I had to get on Monday. I am so proud of myself.
I'm glad I am done though. There is no way on the earth that I am going to any shopping centres between now and Christmas. I ran in on Monday and it was crazy. I thought it would've been ok because the kids didn't finish school until yesterday. But obviously the mums were thinking the same as me "OMG, I have to get all the presents and wrap them because the kids will be home from Thursday and I won't get to do it with them around.' I'm just glad that I didn't have to walk around finding things for people. I knew what I needed and just got it and went. And during this whole time, Montana just slept!! What an angel.

Anyway, here are the presents I have made for people. One I sent and forgot to take photos of. Bugger!

This is the calendar I did for my nan. She is
not one for clutter and pretty things and has
a small unit, so this was nice and small.

This is a book of my son I have done for
his Grandparents in Sydney. They don't
see him throughout the year (due to
the distance, so I thought I would do this
every year a run down on what he has done
(in photos) through out the year.

And these are the pics I took of Montana yesterday.
I just love them. And she is growing so quick.

She had her photo taken with Santa the other day too. I had to 'back' her in so she didn't see him. She doesn't like people with glasses and hats on. And we got the most gorgeous picture of her laughing. I will post it next time.
Until then.......

Christmas is Coming!!! Can you tell?

Christmas is coming!!! I am so excited!! Montana's first christmas. But I love christmas anyway, but even more so this year.

I have 2 more classes left, 1 more assignment to hand in and I can scrap my little heart away over the holidays. I go back to work in February, so I have plenty of scrap time between now and then. As for christmas......I've done the kids and DH's christmas shopping, my brother and parents are organised, just have to pick their presents up and the food is all organised. I feel so good this year being so with it and in control.

I've been so busy this week trying to get 21 little presents for my class mates. (I thought 18 girls in my class but it's blown to 21. How could I forget those 3!!)
I ended up modifying a bag pattern to fit largish christmas baubles in, that I had written their name on with Kindy Glitz and the year on the back. They turned out really well. I just hope they like them.

I found the little candy canes at the local shop and just thought they were gorgeous. The one on the left has a shoe on it and the one on the right has a handbag. So cute. They will be given with the bag and Christmas Bauble.

My nan and a few friends I am scrapping either an OTP album or calendar for, so that is all I have to concentrate on. There is only 5 more I have to do, so they won't take me long. Maybe one a day!!
My "Days Till Christmas" tree has been *added* to. I ended up putting on more ribbon, a star and I want to get some more buttons. I like it better now. I guess I was too scared that I would over do it and I wouldn't like it. ( I still haven't got a hook for it. mental note!!)

Well I've gotta run. Montana's feed time.
Till next time.........
PS. Don't forget to leave a message. I love reading them.

Here is my OTP that I swore I'd never do one again!!

Firstly, here is the Advent/Christmas Countdown tree that I bought the other day. I finished it today and had fun doing it. Although working out the numbers I needed (needing 2 number 2's etc) was a bit brain frying. So we are going to count down from 31 days till christmas.

I know it is missing the left hand side number tiles. I lost the other hook, somewhere into the great unknown. One minute it was there, and then it disappeared. Those damn elves!!
I will have to buy another one. And while I am doing that, I am going to buy a star for the top I think. It looks like it's missing something.
The kids love it.

And here is the OTP album I did.
I am happy with it. (Even though I swore off them!!)
It's for my son and he loves it.
Now I want to do one for my hubby and I am going to do one each for my girlfriends with photos of us over the years, good and bad. These will be much easier to do than a calendar each. I am only going to do a calendar for my parents. That's enough.

Gotta run. Montana is awake. She hasn't been well this past week. We went to the doctors and they are doing all these tests on her.
Has anyone had to get a urine sample from a baby girl with those bags?!! What a job.
Anyway,
Till next time.......

Woohoo!! 3 classes to go!

Not long to go now and I will be finished and qualified! It has been quite a testing past 2 years, with this past year being more testing than last. I guess with being pregnant and having baby brain during pregnancy and now that she's here my brain has been mush.
Thankfully the past 3 weeks, my brain had finally come back to me even if only for a little while, long enough to get all my work done to hand in.

I had a girlfriend come and visit while she was down from Sydney. She will be moving back to Melbourne soon, just before Christmas. I can't wait.
While she was here, I asked her to take some photos of all of us as we haven't got a whole family shot with Montana. Here are the results:

Because I have been so busy with school I haven't done much scrapping at all. After I handed in all my work last Friday, I scrapped all day Saturday. We were meant to be having a garage sale, but it was meant to be 16 and 17 degrees. I thought well, I wouldn't be out in that weather, with a storm also, so we decided to leave it till this coming weekend. Fingers crossed it's better weather.
So, my scrapping on Saturday consisted of doing another OTP. Which I know I swore off doing any more after I did Montana's which was my first one.
But because I did one for her, I had to do one for my son. So I did. I haven't taken any pics of it yet. I am almost finished. But I am really happy with it. It was easier than Montana's. But looking at Montana's I did do alot more than I needed. I added transparent pages also. But I love them both.
I guess I will be doing some more OTP albums now that I know they don't have to be so detailed and intricate as my first one.
Better go. Montana has woken up.
Till next time.....

Oh My Back!!

What a boring week I had last week. It was boring cos I couldn't do anything.
I took Montana shopping on Monday to get DH's christmas present and to teach her *how* to shop and spot bargains. ;o) I took her into the parents room and fed and changed her and put her in her pram. Just as I was bending down and obviously twisting my back went POP! I fell to my knees with shooting pain. I crawled over to the couch (really nice parents room at Myer) and pulled myself up onto it. I am so glad no one else was in there. 2 mums had just left. I sat for about 15 mins hoping to let the pain subside. But it didn't. I was going to ring DH to come and get me. I could hardly walk, but slowly made my way down to the car. I don't know how I got Montana in the car and the pram in the boot.
I called the Chiropractor on the way home but there was no appointments until 4 that afternoon. So I went home until I had to pick DS up from school and went straight to the Chiro.
When a chiro says 'wow, that is really out and boy is it inflamed', it's scary. Unfortunately he couldn't crack it so I had to go back on the Tuesday morning.
I didn't have the best sleep that night.
When I went back on the Tues he was able to crack a little bit but not enough. So I had to just keep icing it and go back this Tues. (tomorrow)
This past week has been painful. I couldn't bend down, couldn't pick up Montana, couldn't stand for too long or even sit for too long. I couldn't do anything and it was driving me mental.
The poor kids copped it. I was so tired from not sleeping and in pain and feeling useless, I let rip on the kids and told them their rooms were pigstys and they were so lazy.
But finally I am feeling better now. I am moving around and slowly but not fully bending down. Still a bit sore in the lower back, but not looking forward to the Chiro tomorrow. I hate going, but I know how good I feel afterwards. I don't like the cracking sound and especially when he does my neck, I feel so ill and dizzy from the sound.
I did manage to do some scrapping on Sunday.
It's our 1st anniversary today and DH got me a $50 voucher for the LSS. He said as he handed it to me last friday 'well the first is paper'. How sweet he is. We went to the LSS and I spent it on the Sat. He couldn't believe what I got. He said 'I thought you would've got a sh** load of stuff.' That's when I told him that it wasn't the cheapest hobby. He looked disappointed.
Anyway, here are some of the creations from Sunday and some of my favourite pics from this past week.............

I don't think this one is finished. I want to add some buttons.

It's not for a comp or anything. Just one I had sitting for ages not knowing what to do with it.

This one is for the Scrap Therapy Monthly Challenge

This is for a comp at the local LSS. They provide the paper packs.

Hopefully my little cherub will sleep a bit this week when she is supposed to. All my housework is done, but I really should be doing my school work. Maybe one hour a day and the rest for my home work. Scrapping is soothing!!! and it will help me from going nuts with all this school work and give me a bit of a break.

Wish me luck for the Chiropractors tomorrow!!

Until then..........

Wow what a day!! Well the last 2 days. Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to a 'Mum's Day Out' up in the valley. It involved meeting other mums with babies the same age and there was also a few professionals who came to talk to us about looking after ourselves. Professionals such as a Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Health Nurses (who actually looked after our crying babies to give us a bit of time to ourselves.) Then, while we were all relaxed eating the spread that they put on for us all day, we were asked if we wanted a massage!!! Well, DUH!!! So off we went one by one to have a massage behind a screen, with a heater and music playing. Well, I did not want to get up. The 1/2 hour felt like 1 minute. But it was sooooo nice. To be honest, I couldn't fully relax because Montana wasn't with me and I had only just met all these women. But what part I did relax, it was great!! The day was basically to remind us new mums to look after ourselves as well as our babies and families. This is my 2nd child, the other is 8 years old, and I have never been to or heard of anything like this before. I think it should happen more often and especially for 1st time mums. It was really a great day. And today was my first time back at school after having Montana. She is 9 weeks old now and I haven't been since 2 weeks before she was born. I had to go back soon or else I would miss so much. So I went back today and my afternoon teacher looked after her in the morning, then I was allowed to have her in class for the afternoon. I am so lucky and my teacher is the sweetest. So it was a big day today for Montana and me. Anyway, Scrapbooking. I've just started looking at this new blog that I was told to visit and she is giving away some stamps to a lucky blog reader. Head over and have a look!!! Visit Nina at Scrapbookers Nest I haven't done any scrapping this week. A busy week. But below are some I did last weekend for the Scrap Therapy Cybercrop which the theme for this month is Rock/Music.
Here are some of my favourite photos this week.

Smiley Girl!!

All smiles!!
