Wow what a day!! Well the last 2 days. Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to a 'Mum's Day Out' up in the valley. It involved meeting other mums with babies the same age and there was also a few professionals who came to talk to us about looking after ourselves. Professionals such as a Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Health Nurses (who actually looked after our crying babies to give us a bit of time to ourselves.) Then, while we were all relaxed eating the spread that they put on for us all day, we were asked if we wanted a massage!!! Well, DUH!!! So off we went one by one to have a massage behind a screen, with a heater and music playing. Well, I did not want to get up. The 1/2 hour felt like 1 minute. But it was sooooo nice. To be honest, I couldn't fully relax because Montana wasn't with me and I had only just met all these women. But what part I did relax, it was great!! The day was basically to remind us new mums to look after ourselves as well as our babies and families. This is my 2nd child, the other is 8 years old, and I have never been to or heard of anything like this before. I think it should happen more often and especially for 1st time mums. It was really a great day. And today was my first time back at school after having Montana. She is 9 weeks old now and I haven't been since 2 weeks before she was born. I had to go back soon or else I would miss so much. So I went back today and my afternoon teacher looked after her in the morning, then I was allowed to have her in class for the afternoon. I am so lucky and my teacher is the sweetest. So it was a big day today for Montana and me. Anyway, Scrapbooking. I've just started looking at this new blog that I was told to visit and she is giving away some stamps to a lucky blog reader. Head over and have a look!!! Visit Nina at

Yeah Bec, I generally check your blog out at least fortnightly - just slack sometimes leaving comments. Your bub looks gorgeous and I wish they had stuff like that around when I had my kids. I had 10 years between my first two and with a gap that big it is like having your first all over again. The massage I could definately do with. Now that mine are older I do get the occassional time out but they are both mummy's girls and don't like me to be too far away from them (they are 15 and 12 - so I guess that will change soon but I hope not)
ohhh...a massage that sounds great....lucky you!! sounds like you had a great time.
