A crop and 2 layouts.......

A fun time had by all and a productive one for me.
Normally when I go to these things, I don't get much done at all. I don't even finish a layout.
And when I get together with Rache and Lisa, I only ever get 1/2 a layout done. I was going to this crop with these 2 girls.
And hooray!!! I got 2 layouts almost done. It was a 5 hour crop at Belgrave South held by Bon from Bon's Scraps. Well, I got 2 almost done and finished them off tonight at home. But that is more than I ever get done. I was able to chat too!! It was a good day.
So here are the layouts.................................

Beauty
Basic Grey Bittersweet PP, Kaiser pearls & flowers

Hi 5
My Minds Eye PP, Jewellry Box Thickers, Bella Journal Tab

So now I have Crop For Kids this coming weekend. Boy I am Scrap busy!! DH is not liking it at all. But I don't do it very often. All I do is catch up with the girls once a month. But because they are going to the Retreat, we won't be catching up now until the last week of May. So I have to get some scrap socialising in there somewhere. LoL
Until next time......................
Happy scrapping

Off to Scrap

Well I'm off to scrap at a fundraiser crop in Belgrave Sth today with Rache and Lisa. It's to raise money for the fire relief and I am so excited. I haven't been to one of these before and can't wait.
I've only ever done the LSS crops and getting together with the girls.
And then I have the Crop For Kids next weekend. DH is whingeing about it already, 2 weekends in a row. ;o)

So I was in my scrap room yesterday trying to pack for the crop today. I tried putting together some kits, but it just wasn't happening. I like to have everything around me and at my reach, to see if it goes or not. If you know what I mean. All the kits I was putting together looked *safe* and matching to me. I didn't like it. I like to be able to grab something different and try it on the layout.
So I'm stuck as in what to take, and how much to take. Is there an etiquette on how much to take and what you can take?
I want to take my sewing machine as I am lost without it when I scrap away from home.

So what does everyone else do when you go to a crop? How much do you take? And what do you take?

Some Layouts......................

Here are some layouts I finished Friday night, because Saturday night I was catching up with Rache & Lisa, which means I only ever get 1/2 a layout done when I am with them!! LOL I must talk too much. Or they do!
I don't know how they do it! They manage to chat and get things done!
So I did most of the challenges the night before!! Just in case!!

This layout is for the Scrap Therapy Sketch Challenge.
(Fancy Pants PP, thickers, basic grey brad, buttons, ribbon, paint, trim)

This one is for the Scrap Therapy Write Stuff Challenge for the month
which is Lessons Learnt.
My lesson being that I need to slow down and enjoy the moment I am
in.
(Autumn Leaves & Bella PP, thickers, tiny alphas, Kaisercraft pearls & flower,
Bella journal tag)

This one is for the Scrap Therapy Monthly Theme Challenge.
We had to use things starting with A,B,C and use 1 of an item, 2 of
an item and 3 of an item. Because the monthly theme is 'Back To
School.'
(Daisy D's PP, MME tag & frame, AC Chip hearts & thickers)

This is for the card challenge at Scrap Therapy using a blackboard
theme of white on black. I am loving these flowers at the moment and
they have found their way onto a lot of my layouts at the moment.

This is my entry for the White with 1 challenge this month which is
White, Navy and stars.
(newspaper, navy paint, navy felt, button, corrugated card, white pen, Kaisercraft start stamp)

Got My Diploma!!

This is me receiving my Diploma. I took Montana up with me because she was part of the

class since she was born. I still had to go to class and I had so many minders, it was great. So in a way, she studied and graduated with me.

It was a great night to catch up with everyone since the fires.

Till next time.............

An OTP...........................

This is an OTP I made for my girlfriend for Christmas, but I forgot to photograph it. So when she came up on the weekend, I asked her to bring it with her so I could take photos of it.
So here it is...........................................

My hand at Vintage?!?!

Over at Scrap Therapy, Mandy challenged us to do Shabby Chic (which my layout for is a few posts down.) Then, once we had done that, she challenged us to do Male Shabby or Vintage!!
I didn't know where to start with Male Shabby, so I went with Vintage.
The following layout is of my dad when he was (I think) in his 20's. He looks so young, but not much of a change, other than excess weight.
But this is how I thought Vintage with this photo. Paisley, dark colours (burgundy, gold) , stitching and distressing, simple with busy patterns. I even embossed the ribbon with gold powder. I'm happy with it.

Well I'm off to a co workers house tomorrow night to scrap. I won't get much done as they want me to show them how to do an OTP like my princess crown album I did for the Scrap Therapy Kaisercraft Competition. They want it exactly the same. I feel kinda chuffed about it!
I am hoping to get some layouts done this weekend though. I am dying to try my new Basic Grey Porcelain papers and the Marrakech. They are gorgeous!!
Have a great rest of the week and weekend if I don't post before then.
Thanks to all who visit and leave me comments. I love reading them as well as blog hop to your blog and have a sticky!!
All the comments keep my mojo hanging around locally!! ;o)
Till next time.............

Some More Layouts!!

Daisy D's PP, Kaiser stamp & rub on, Heidi Swapp bird sticker,
Dream was for a Shabby Chic challenge at Scrap Therapy. I find Shabby Chic-ing is easier in pale colours. I would love to try using
darker colours or other colours other than pink. I really would like to be
able to do a vintage layout too. I will have a go, but a bit unsure.

Daisy Bucket PP, Kaiser rub on and stamp, thickers, chipboard frame, carolee creation mini alphas
This is one I've been meaning to do for a while. And finally I did it. Lots
of stitching and distressing.
It's of my son. Every time we go camping, he always ends up off his bed
and sleeps on the tent floor.

Jolly - My little yellow bicycle alphas, maya road scroll, Kaiser flower, tulle, paint, ribbon
This was for the Monthly Challenge at Scrap Therapy using red
dominantly with white. You were allowed to use another colour
but only in a small amount. You also had to use paint. The next
layout was for the challenge as well. I really wanted to see the
differences between the red cardstock and the white. I think I really
like the white background.

Elf? - My little yellow bicycle PP and alphas, Sass Lass scroll, Kaiser stamp, gold paint
I am happy with this one. Didn't know where I was going to put paint.
I forgot to use paint on this one and did it after I finished.

Till next time.................
