My hand at Vintage?!?!

Over at Scrap Therapy, Mandy challenged us to do Shabby Chic (which my layout for is a few posts down.) Then, once we had done that, she challenged us to do Male Shabby or Vintage!!
I didn't know where to start with Male Shabby, so I went with Vintage.
The following layout is of my dad when he was (I think) in his 20's. He looks so young, but not much of a change, other than excess weight.
But this is how I thought Vintage with this photo. Paisley, dark colours (burgundy, gold) , stitching and distressing, simple with busy patterns. I even embossed the ribbon with gold powder. I'm happy with it.

Well I'm off to a co workers house tomorrow night to scrap. I won't get much done as they want me to show them how to do an OTP like my princess crown album I did for the Scrap Therapy Kaisercraft Competition. They want it exactly the same. I feel kinda chuffed about it!
I am hoping to get some layouts done this weekend though. I am dying to try my new Basic Grey Porcelain papers and the Marrakech. They are gorgeous!!
Have a great rest of the week and weekend if I don't post before then.
Thanks to all who visit and leave me comments. I love reading them as well as blog hop to your blog and have a sticky!!
All the comments keep my mojo hanging around locally!! ;o)
Till next time.............
