Some Layouts and some more cards....................

Just a quick post to share my latest........................................

Here is my page for Mandy's Shabby Easter at Scrap Therapy

This is from a step by step that Mandy at Scrap Therapy did last week. With the second card, I copied it in reverse. I don't know which one I like better!?

And this was just a layout I wanted to do to tell the story of how my dad would never ever spend $70 on a pair of kids shoes, let alone a tiny pair that Montana will probably grow out of in a few weeks/months and they are Ralph Lauren. They are just so cute and I think Montana is the most special little girl to her Poppy.
(Sorry the pic is a bit light.)

Till next time............................

My new toy!!.....and some scrapping stuff................

I know, I know. I was supposed to post what I got on the weekend, but things got a little dramatic and I totally forgot. Sorry.
Well, here it is!!
I've ummed and aahhed about getting one of these. Waying up the advantages to the price, but I finally did it and bought one.
What convinced me was, now that Montana is getting older, I would like to do board books for her with real photos instead of cartoonish or fake pictures. I want her to learn the 'real' thing. So if I have one of these, then I can do them for her.
As well as presents.
I think I have justified it to myself at least 3 times since I got, that I should get it. LOL

I received my fabulous parcel from What Is Old is New and this is what I created from one of them.

And some cards that I did for my dad to give to 2 of his customers who are sick at the moment.

So that's probably it for today.
I have to go and do my Shabby Easter for Mandy's challenge. So I will post it as soon as it's done.
Till next time.............................

Update.................

Well I've done my first CT sample for Scrap The Girls, but I can't show you yet. It will have to wait.

But I have been busy last night and tonight scrapping madly.
Got mojo and have run with it.

I am really happy with the layouts I did and I had a go at the cards challenge at Scrap Therapy and I have impressed myself!! I normally don't do cards, cos I don't like the end result. But I think this time, I had to do a card for a friend who had a little boy last week so my heart was in it and it turned out nice. So did the girl card.

It's 11.30pm, so I can't take any pics of what I have scrapped.

I promise, tomorrow morning before I go and get my new 'machine' from the LSS!!!! Excited!!!!
I will tell you what it is tomorrow!!!
I am only getting it because DH has nagged me enough about getting a boat and I caved in yesterday. He went and picked it up today. Not bad, but does need alot of work and that's what he wanted.
So I will give you pics of that tomorrow too if you are interested. Maybe? I'm not really, so maybe I won't. ;o)

Till then............................

The fulfillments have started with my first 'assignment' given with the email.

So while Montana is finally sleeping, I am going to go and make a start on it!!

Crop For Kids & some layouts............

Wow!! What a day.
It didn't start off all that well with Montana waking up early (3am) screaming. I think it's her teeth. We finally got back to sleep about 4.30am and I thought I would just get a quick nap in. I had to leave around 9 as it was going to take me an hour to get there.

When I woke it was 9:50. I jumped up, had a shower, luckily I had packed my scrapping stuff the night before.
I think I left at 9:30 and arrived at Crop For Kids about 10:30. I walked in just behind Narelle and Bon, so I didn't feel so bad being late. I have never been to this before and I hate being late for anything. But since meeting DH, I seem to be running late for everything. I hate it.
Anyway, the day was great. I met my favourite scrapper who had come over from Tasmania for work, but was lucky to get to come to the crop. She is so lovely and was everything I expected her to be. I didn't get to talk to her much though because I was busy trying to get at least one layout done!! You all know what I am normally like.
But she liked my work!! I was estatic that she had said that. From someone whose work I totally idolise and think is just gorgeous and love every single piece that she has done. That really made my day.

Lee-anne and her husband came down from Cairns, so I got to finally met them.
So yes, I got a layout finished!!! Well 2 actually.
Here is the first one......................

giggle
(Cosmo Cricket - Girl Friday, Kaisercraft Bling word, Fiskars Sunburst Punch)

stuck!
(Bazzil cardstock, MyMindsEye PP, Basic Grey sticker alphas, Kaisercraft Rubon Flourish)

Sweet as a Cupcake
(noteworthy PP, AC foam thickers with added Kindy Glitz, Prima & Kaiser flowers)

The last one is for Challenge 1 at Scrap Therapy's Cybercrop this weekend. Some glitter, crystal clear seed beads or something that looks like sugar and the word SWEET in the title somewhere.
I am hoping to get some others done, but will just have to wait and see.
At the CFK's, I won a hamper from Overall Being. In it was a beautiful blanket, incense, burning oil, stickers and a Bella Pet Scrap Pack. I forgot to take a photo of it before I pulled everything out.
I also purchased a few goodies from the Trash and Treasure table. Lots of bargains were there.
But it was a great day all round. I will be going back next year.

A Fantastically Priced Kit Site!!

OMG!! (I'm saying that alot these past 2 days.) But you have to check out this new site!!!

Their kits are so reasonbly priced and they are gorgeous.
What Is Old Is New Again is only a new kit site that I stumbled across on my blog hopping journey. This month they have 2 kits for a boy or masculine and 3 kits which could be suited to a girl any age!!
They are mixed up packs of old and new items. And they all go together just perfectly.

Go and have a look and grab one quick. I just ordered this one and this one and I got the last of the vintage.
Oh I can't wait to get them!!

So if you miss out, bookmark the site and get there as soon as the next lot is released as they are sure going quick.

Till next time...................

I love Etsy!!!

I've been blog surfing today and came across Belinda's post about her new stash!!
OMG!!! Just adorable!
Of course I had to go and have a look at what else they had. So I couldn't help myself and bought some of those and some of these
Then I went and bought these with these.
I'm a bit scared about looking at my bank balance this month. I have gone a bit nuts on purchasing scrap related things.
I will just have to find a hiding spot from DH!!

Well better run and get DS from school. I hope he is feeling better. He is at the tail end of a cold, but it always brings on his asthma, so he has had the last 2 days off school. Then while he was home, I thought I'd better get the mole on the side of his head checked. So we went to see the Doc and he decided that he wanted to do a biopsy on it there and then. What?! If I had've known, I would've prepared him a little at least. But it had to be done and I had to explain 'quickly' why.
Well...............trying to get an 8yo boy to lay down on the bed to have a local put into his mole so the Doc could cut some out is near impossible. Mind you, this poor kid has had enough needles already to last him until he is in his 20's at least. He's had 2 major surgeries on his ear, so it freaked him out a bit.
But we got it done, will a lot of bribes, so we go back on Friday to get the results. Fingers crossed.

Till next time............
