My Little Princess is Sleeping!! and I scrapped!

Montana had 2 daytime sleeps yesterday. It's the first time for over a week that she has done this and I think with her being sick was the reason why she wasn't sleeping. But she did yesterday and I was able to scrap!!
I bought a butterfly album and have been dying to do it. I was able to start it yesterday while she slept and while DH was home to help out if she cried or fussed.
It's the first time that I have done anything OTP other than a canvas last year. I am happy with the way it is coming along and the learning process as I go. It was also the first time that I have used Stazon on acetate. I really like the stuff but I think I need more practice with it. But it looks ok. I will post pics later.

I am so excited. I have started ordering new scrap albums I want. They are the Print Block D Ring Albums and they look like they would hold heaps more than the normal ones I have. I have to order one or two a week cos the budget (and DH) would have a fit if I ordered them in one hit, as much as I want them all NOW!! I am getting one for each member of the family as well as a family one and all in different colours so I can 'quick pick' them.
The hardest part was choosing which colour first!! I ended up going the green for the family. But then I had a phone call asking if I wanted to get 2 now as it was cheaper to post than just 1. So of course I said yes. I will just have to hide the other one for a week!!

The school holidays started last Friday and I have both the kids home. Although DD has been at her mum's since Friday and I think she is coming home today.
We haven't got much planned for the school holidays, just scrapping (both the kids love to scrap) and maybe the movies next week.
I bought some clay, 2 slabs, last school holidays for DS after his surgery and I still have 1 1/2 left over, so I may motivate them to make something. I am planning on doing a sculpture of Montana. Maybe. Possibly. I will try.

Well, gotta run. Want to scrap before Montana wakes again.

Growing Up So Fast!!

My Little Monkey is growing up so fast. Well I should say my little Princess as she is just such a good baby. She was 6 weeks yesterday and boy has the time flown.
She has a little cold at the moment but still hasn't really complained or cried about it. She was irritable and yucky last weekend and is slowly getting over it. It's just the runny nose and little bit of congestion now.
But I thought I would share these pics I took yesterday and on the weekend. The cot one was taken last weekend and I just had to take a pic to remember how tiny she is in the cot.

I haven't had time to scrap at all with Montana being sick. She has been 'attached' to me since last Wednesday. She is in my arms as I write this.

Hopefully with the school holidays coming up next week, I will have 2 babysitters that can help me out with things so I can scrap.

Sweet Hubby

Hubby come home from the shops this afternoon and guess what I got!!?? A scrapbooking magazine. How sweet he is. But then I asked him what did he get. He just smiled and said 'the footy is on soon.' He buttered me up with the right stuff!!

Anyway, I got to scrap a little last night for the Scrapping The Music challenge. I got to scrap for about an hour while Montana slept. I wasn't happy with the end result so I am going out in a minute to have another go while Montana watches the footy with Dad before her sleep.

It is Scrap Therapy's Cybercrop this weekend. Some great challenges have been put up. The easiest challenge ever has been put up and anyone can do it. All you have to do is join up and be online between 8.50pm and 9.05 pm tomorrow night when Lee-anne announces who the Manufacturer of the Month is. That's it. It's that easy. And Another One Done!

Wow! I got another layout done today. Montana was in the scrap room with me today while I did it.
This one I entered into the White With 1 September challenge.
It's only the 2nd of the month and I got it done today. Hooray!

Scrap Time!

Hooray! I got to scrap yesterday! I got to do 2 layouts of Montana for a Scrap Therapy surprise challenge. The challenge was to use our gorgeous new Thickers. I didn't have mine yet, but snuck down to the LSS and buy 6 packets on top of the 19 packets that are coming. They should be here today and I can't wait. Here are the 2 layouts ~

Both Mum and Baby Doing Well

Well, just over a week and both Montana and I are doing well. I am still a little tired from losing so much blood after labour and having 2 blood transfusions, but I am getting there. My ankles I can now see and name my own again after all the swelling has gone down.
Montana is doing really well. She had put on 100gms in 3 days since she was born and we left the hospital. And she was weighed again today and she has put on another 95gms. So she is doing really well.
It's surprising how much more calm and relaxed I am with her than my first born. And it really shows that I am because she is so calm and content. She hardly cries and sleeps really well. She is so adorable and cute as a button and I just love her so much. Although I was worried when I was pregnant if I could love another child as much as my first. But I do. So much. It's really not that hard.
DH has been wonderful. He has been home with me since we came home from hospital and has waited on me at every call and won't let me do much at all. He has been absolutely fantastic with Montana too. He is such a loving dad and Montana loves her Dad so much. She hears his voice and wriggles and opens her eyes to look for him. It's just beautiful what they have.

Montana is Here! Early!

Montana Charmaine finally arrived 9 days early at 4.21am Monday 4th August.

She is doing really well. As for me, well I've had 2 blood transfusions to replace the 2 litres of blood that I lost after the labour. But I am finally home with her and just love her to bits.

This post is just a quick one. I really have to go and put my feet up to slow down the swelling.

Well I've been busy these last 2 days. I have been busy scrapping for some challenges.

I thought I'd post them here quickly and get back to it.

I have a parent/teacher interview this afternoon with DS teacher, so I have to get at least another layout done before we have to leave.

If I get some more done, I will upload them later.

She Had a Girl!!

My girlfriend had a girl!!! All through the pregnancy she had it in her mind that she was having a boy. She even said once she was born she had to ask again as she didn't believe that it was a girl. How exciting!!
My turn next and I'm just waiting impatiently!

I'm going to scrap today. I snuck to the LSS and picked up a few papers and flowers and I really want to use them.......now!! I really want to do it today and I even changed my Dr's appt from today till Wednesday so I can. But firstly I have to shoot down the street for some milk for my cuppa's while I scrap and then I can settle in. I hate nothing more than being interrupted during my scrap session.

DS is still home with me recovering. Though I wouldn't really call it that. It's more "driving me crazy". I'm doing this post early so he can hop on the PC and that will keep him quiet for the day.

I really should be doing my 2 assignments that are due this Friday, but I'm going to be strict and do it tomorrow. Well one of them was due last Friday but I didn't go to school because I had DS home. I should be on top of all these assignments now that I've finished work, but I just can't get motivated. I have had trouble getting motivated to Scrap! I've been wanting to scrap but just getting all the stuff out seems daunting.
