A Quick Share................................

Here is a photo of Montana last December that I forgot about and just found. I love it.

I loooove this paper by Collage Press. I've had it for ages and this was my last little bit. Love it!!
I've also used AC Thickers, Maya Road rose trim, a Prima flower and a gorgeous little embroidered butterfly I picked up from the Craft Expo last month in Melbourne. I wish I bought more now!!

And this photo is one that I took myself {selfie} the other day.
I've used the yummy Basic Grey Doily, Basic Grey Origins papers, AC Thickers, Prima centres, a Basic Grey brad and some twine. I have no idea where I got the flowers from. Oh and there is some Maya Road trim underneath the bottom of the photo.
I will have some more again soon!

Scrap Therapy Cybercrop Sketch & a DT Challenge...........

Scrap Therapy's Cybercrop went for a whole week and the entries were due Monday gone. I only had a chance to have a play with the Sketch challenge, which I flipped sideways, and it had to either be inspired by art, favourite artist, or your child's artwork. A very wide scope.
I chose to scrap this photo of Mandy and I when we met again at the Bendigo Retreat in August. She is my all time fave scrapper and I wish that I could scrap half as good as her. Absolutely amazing...........................

I used Websters Pages-Seaside Retreat papers Readers Paradise and Hide and Seek , Prima flowers, Kraft Cardstock, paint and Maya Rd flower trim.

And this was a challenge set by the Scrap Therapy forum where we were only allowed to use Cardstock, newspaper, paint, lace and Prima flowers.
Wow!! What a challenge!!
But I loved it AND I scrapped in purple!!!! {which is something I just NEVER do}
But I did it!!!
Be sure to head over to Scrap Therapy as they have the new My Minds Eye - Fine and Dandy range in store now!!! So cute!!

Happy creating!!

Look what I got...................

My very own Mandy layout!!!!
And isn't it just gorgeous!!
I met up with Mandy at Bendigo for a retreat-ish scrap weekend and asked if she could do a layout for me in her style {because I love it!! Who doesn't!!}
Mandy's title for this photo of my daughter is just perfect as that is how I see her.

I loooooove it!
Thanks Mandy!

Scrap Therapy Cybercrop happening now..............

And the rules have changed.

You now have a full week to complete the challenges!!!

Now that's generous.

Prizes are now based on the number of entrants into the challenges, so that's even more money to spend at Scrap Therapy for the winners.

This is my sample for my challenge set for you, but you'll have to head over to see what the challenge is.

Pop on over and have a look. I'm sure there will be something to inspire you with our ART ATTACK theme this month.

Let's Get Shabby entry.................

I've been so busy with everything lately that I haven't had time to play with the challenge blogs, but Let's Get Shabby have a great challenge this month and I had to have a go with the gorgeous inspiration they have given.

My inspiration came from Kitchen 2 with the colours green, yellow and pink I made this............

I've used the criteria and maybe a little hard to see but the chipboard pieces are the little branch on the bottom left of the wreath and the little bird at the top. I glittered these also to make them stand out a little..........................................

So, that's it!

Thanks for looking. I had fun with this challenge.

How to use up those pretty scraps of paper & ribbon........

I had this idea in my head since I had done this last Christmas.
I finally decided to do it this past week and finish it.

Now we all have a scrap drawer with little bits and pieces that we just cannot throw away because we love the papers.
I went through my scraps and grabbed all the co ordinating pretty little pieces that ranged from 3" to 6" square and made all the flowers.
There is some My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon, Websters Pages and some Basic Grey.
I made the bow from vintage book paper and gesso'd over it so it was firmer and not so soft and fragile as vintage paper can be.

I have another Off The Page that I'm working on, but I can't show you until it's finished. I am waiting on a few pieces to arrive.
Well, I might give you a sneak peek.
Till then,
Happy Creating!!!

I love the stuff and have always had trouble finding it.

But Scrap Therapy has got it in and it is to die for. Very Very yummy!!

Here is what is definetly on my list..........................................

The Maya Mists are so yummy in all their glorious colours, a little different from other mists.
This green Maya Mist is definetly in my cart...................................

And these trims are gorgeous!!!! I'll have a few metres of this pleated one and a few of the other colours. At $2, you can never have too much!!!!

Oh!! And I have to have these gorgeous Doily Stamps!!! So many possibilities!!!

And this little beauty is one of a few that I will be getting. This gorgeous Banner album will be sooooo cute made up for Montana and at only $9, I will be getting a few!!!
I'm going to place my order now before it all goes.

Changes to Scrap Therapy and some layouts like I promised.........

Firstly, at the start of the Cybercrop at Scrap Therapy last night, some changes were revealed.
So now, you should have plenty of time to join in on the Cybercrops and get some challenges done.

I've been scrapping through the week, amongst work and the usual runnings of a family.

This first one was a just because. I really wanted to get done the photo of when Montana had her ears pierced..........................................

And this one was another just because. She has had her glasses for about 8/9 weeks now and didn't want to wait to much longer to do this layout..........................

And another just because. I wanted to get these photos down because I love them and love the fact that I was able to capture her first 'babycino' and being a lady of leisure.........................

And this one..........................
well, I'll fill you in shortly.
I will be back with more as I am planning to scrap some more today.
But first I have Lachie's Football Presentation this afternoon for his first season of Football. It's great!!! All the kids that played get a trophy. I think that is a great idea as it keeps their spirits high and confidence.
Lachie is estatic and can't wait.
So I'd better run..........................................

Not much scrapping, just enjoying the sunshine...........

Yes, I haven't been scrapping this week unfortunately and I haven't missed it.
I guess the beautiful sunshine we have been getting has distracted me and kept me outside. Montana has enjoyed being outside again also and playing with all her toys that have been off limits during winter.

Here she is, so proud of herself for sitting on the swing and not falling off when I gently swing it.

I love this time of year because of the blossoms in our garden and in our area. They are so pretty with their mixes of pink and white. It always means to me that warmer weather is coming and the garden will start coming alive with plants, flowers and colour.

I weeded the garden and tidied up the plants.............................

And DH put up the new round trampoline yesterday, with Montana helping................................

So for now there is no scrapping, but there will be soon.
I promise!!
But for now, we are enjoying the warmth of the sunshine and being outside.
Hope you have a great rest of the weekend and hopefully you have nice weather wherever you are.
Oh, and I have a little surprise that I will be able to share in October. It's just been approved and ready to go. Will fill you in when I can.
Till next time.........................

My first publication!!!!!

I subbed to Scrapbooking Memories for the first time a few months back and they accepted 3!!!
The first one is in this latest issue, number 9 on page 41.
And it got a whole page as it was on the gallery opening page!! How exciting!!!

My other 2 are going to be in issue 11 with something else I've done and I feel quite chuffed about it.

I've been grinning from ear to ear since I received my copy last week.

What I've been up to lately..............

I know, I know!
I've been missing a bit this past month. With the Retreat, both the kids birthdays and just life being way too busy for me in August!! My goodness!
But I'm back and I've been scrapping for myself and for Scrap Therapy.

This past month the theme has been all about Handmade. Everything handmade.
So I show you how to make several flowers in my challenges.

This layout shows the flower I've done a tutorial for. If you want to know how pop on over to the Scrap Therapy blog...........

This layout was done using the sketch for the Scrap Therapy Cybercrop Sketch Challenge.
A pretty easy sketch............................

This is for the current Kraft It Up challenge for August.
The criteria is Kraft, green, yellow and black...................................

And these last two pages are using the Monthly Sketch at Scrap Therapy and the Monthly Theme of Handmade.
If you want to have a go, you have until this Thursday midnight to get your entry in.....................

That's it for now.

See you again soon and have a great week!!
